The other night Amanda realized we get XM radio through our cable. So now, we enjoy regular dance parties in our living room. Amanda & Ashley's favorite game to play is to put it on the 80's and 90's stations and guess the song and artist. Amanda usually wins.

I started Surrender by Nancy Leigh DeMoss today. I only got through the introduction, but I'm sure it's going to be great. I read Brokenness in January and really enjoyed it. It really got me thinking about a lot of things in my life. I would certainly recommend them.

January 27

Tonight was Amanda's going away party. The Lord is leading her to NYC. She was one of the first people I met after I moved to Chicago and I hate that I didn't get to know her better than I did. We were talking tonight at Giordano's about my very first Sunday at the Tab. She came up and invited me to a party at Pamela's house... the most surprising part is that I actually went! And what a wonderful time I had. I met so many people and started so many new friendships. It was a wonderful way to kick off my life here in Chicago.



Goodbye Amanda! We will miss you!

Ashley, Amanda, and I went for brunch today at Orange... what wonderful family time! Ashley got the hugest sandwich ever... the picture really does not do it justice.

We were off work today because our heat is messed up, so I went over to see Julie and Baby Sofia. How chubby her cheeks are! I miss Julie & can't wait til they can come back to church.

Happy roommates going out to celebrate... Ashley had never had sushi, so off to House of Sushi & Noodles we go (after Pamela cut my hair!).

Then we went home and had yummy treats and Ashley opened her present. She has been talking about getting a study Bible, so that's what we got her. Now all three of us have the same one... handy.

I love my Clark's... Ashley loves her Clark's... We convinced Amanda to buy Clark's. Her's are shearling lined (because she is always cold) and they came in today. Now Amanda loves her Clark's. We are a happy little Clark's family now!

Terrible, Terrible

It's true... I am a terrible blogger! I promise I have pictures in my camera and phone, and maybe my mama's camera, and Ashley's... anyway, I have the pictures, it's just a matter of getting them here. You know what the problem is, I get a little behind and then overwhelmed at how behind I am so I let it snowball. I promise to catch up before the end of the week.

January 14

My flight home was delayed, so I was roaming around the airport. I came across an official Cowboys Pro Shop. Oh the HORRORS!!!!!! I took a picture to document the atrocity, but didn't go anywhere near.

January 13

Thursday my boss aked me if I could go to an investigator's meeting for a new study on Monday... in Dallas! So I left church early to catch a flight out of O'Hare. This is the lovely king size bed with 5 feather pillows that I plan to completely lose myself in. The bed looks to be the best part of the trip, seeing as I will spend the better part of 8 hours tomorrow listening to a group of industry folks telling me how this study is sure to cure the world's problems. Monk marathon is on tonight... can't wait to crawl into bed with Monk!

January 12

I went to the public library today for the first time in ages. There was this really mean lady tutoring kids behind me. She was so loud and obnoxious I wanted to hit her, but thought I might get kicked out.

The bike rack said "BOOKS"... creative.

January 11

We moved over Christmas. I finally got everyting squared away today. Here's my new office, complete with ugly window (but hey, it's a window!). The nursery school is just across the street; about 2:00 we can hear the kids playing if we open the window. It's a nice diversion in the middle of the afternoon.

I went out to see Jasmine and Josiah tonight. It's been a while and I can't believe how big he has gotten! He grins and laughs and makes faces at you. Squishy and adorable!

I was bored. I braided Amanda's hair while she was working... 22 total!

I really think she should consider this look for Sundays.

Tonight was the national championship game. OSU vs. LSU

We watched the game at the lovely LaLuz home. I love the LaLuzes!

Ohio lost... again! To the SEC... again!
