Okay, just my blog, not me. But with this blasted cold weather I certainly wouldn't mind a move to Maui or Pheonix...

Maybe it's the relative warmth and sunshine.

No, it's more than that. God is good and he's blessing me.

I'm on the brink, the edge, the precipice of something great big.

And I've not been this excited in a long time...

Happy Inauguration Day!

I've hijacked my former office-mate's computer and turned on CNN, so Toni and I can monitor all the inauguration day festivities. Regardless of your personal political leanings, this is an exciting day in history. Any inauguration day is really, when you take the time to consider our political process and how we as a nation can gather peacefully and even jubilantly, as many today are, to commemorate a change in our nation's highest office. How many nations in our world can do that?

So I hope everyone can take the time today to thank God for the many blessings bestowed upon us simply by our birth in this great nation and to pray for our incoming president. He will certainly need the Lord's direction and protection in the next four years.

I may never be warm again. I don't know if my toes are still attached. They may just be stuck in the ends of my shoes, held there by my tights and socks. Perhaps I should have worn additional pairs?

I've been sitting here all morning watching the weather tracker on my tool bar. We've gone up 4 degrees since I've come in, from -9 to -5. Praise the Lord. Please pray that we break into positive digits.

On a positive note (I kill myself sometimes!), Toni's out so I can play my music as loud as I want! And I can crank up the heat all the way! Oh, God is good, even in the dead of winter. I think there's a sermon in there. Or maybe I'm delirious from cold...

This is the view out of my office window. At least I get to see the pretty snowy tower...

My boss, Allison, is scheduled to deliver her baby boy by c-section today at 4:30. She had some complications and they decided they needed to take him early. Please pray that all goes well for her and the little guy.

This is the bunting I made for him. Quite adorable if I do say so myself. I especially like the sailboat buttons! I can't wait to see him in it...
